Approaches

I utilize a wide range of theories and approaches to provide insights into your psyche and teach skills to help address those revelations. Using primarily Psychoanalytical and psychodynamic therapy, I look at how your unconscious thoughts and perceptions developed throughout your childhood, and how this may affect your current behavior and thoughts. I also use Holistic psychotherapy which is an integrative approach grounded in psychosynthesis. This focuses on the relationship between mind, body, and spirit and explores how issues in one aspect of your life can lead to concerns in other areas. Unlike other forms of therapy, these methods help create deep-seated changes in your emotional development. We all have a part of our psyche that helps us to heal, grow, and thrive; sometimes we lose touch with that part of ourselves. We can feel lost, disconnected, anxious, or depressed. While working collaboratively and genuinely, we can discover what works and what doesn't work for you. By crafting a unique treatment plan that draws upon various theories and approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, Play Therapy Approaches, Existential Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Sandtray Therapy we can explore more ways to help create a deeper understanding.
