Jessica Laskowitz, LPC
I was born in Miami, FL, and was raised in beautiful Boulder CO. I moved to Durango, CO for undergraduate studies at Fort Lewis College. I majored in Psychology and got my undergraduate degree in General Psychology in 2017. With the combination of psychology and past experiences, I can provide a strong foundation for my unique approach to counseling.
After my undergrad, I worked for Applied Behavioral Analysis companies as a Behavioral Therapist helping children with Autism. I then returned to school to get my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. It was during this program, that I then learned of Mindfulness Psychotherapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy and so much more. These focuses have served as yet another foundational piece by which I work and live. During my studies at Adams State University, I worked at a community mental health center, which further expanded my knowledge and experience in the realm of mental health. I completed my internship providing individual therapy and child therapy much like the services I provide today. I graduated with honors in May 2022 and have been providing individual therapy since in both private practice and agency settings. Finally, I just passed the National Counseling Exam Licensure in June 2023 which means I have met the national standards for education, training, and experience. I received my License as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in April 2024. In my free time, I love being outdoors and exploring the beautiful mountains in Colorado.
